Time Out Dubai spoke to the head of property management at Betterhomes, Niral Jhaveri, about the positive move on paying your Dubai rent. He said: “For tenants, it is a very good option as they no longer have to present physical cheques to pay their rent and nor worry about signatures not matching or running out of chequebooks.”
Jhaveri explained that direct debit rental payments are a convenient and efficient payment method for renters. By setting up the Noqodi Ejari Direct Debit Service (DDS) Dubai residents can use the automatic payment service, reducing the likelihood of missed or late payments.
He added: “Most expats are also used to a direct debit system in their home countries and are struggling with writing physical cheques and keeping a track of them. The direct debit system will prove to be a blessing for all parties involved – property managers, landlords and tenants.”
This newly implemented system should provide peace of mind for both tenants and landlords, as it helps ensure that rent is paid on time without the use of cheques.
Overall, direct debit rental payments offer a reliable and stress-free payment solution for all parties involved.
Ejari has now been fully integrated with noqodi Direct Debit system (UAEDDS) to configure the rent payment schedule during the contract creation or renewal process that will facilitate recurrent payments from their bank accounts.
This new feature has been designed with UAE renters in mind. This is another step forward in the automation of Dubai’s rental sector.
